Lullabelly was born in Miami, FL in 2003. In 2003, I was a practicing licensed massage therapist, and a majority of my practice focused on pre-natal massage. Of course, music is a very important part of massage therapy; used to help people relax during their massage.
As fate had it, a few of my friends were pregnant at the same time, so naturally I went shopping for baby shower gifts.
I'm a huge music therapy advocate, and I wanted a baby shower gift that incorporated my love of massage and music. An image popped into my head with a pregnant woman holding headphones on her belly. I started looking for a baby shower gift that an expectant mother could wear to play music to her baby in the womb, and listen along to the same music.
Unable to find this "unique and different" type of baby shower gift, I realized there was a need I could fill.
A few years later I moved to Denver, CO where I met my husband, who helped guide me through the steps of creating my own business and bringing Lullabelly to life. Through plenty of trial and error, and testing and re-testing, we finally created our Lullabelly product line.
Our dream of bringing an idea to fruition has been long and scary, but well worth the journey. We hope Lullabelly brings you and your family as much joy as it has brought us.
